Who Am I
My story
Energy Works Advisory was established by Luke Aldred in 2026, to provide specialist consulting and advisory services in the sustainability & energy sectors.
Luke's career began in the London area in early 2008. Working in a vibrant building services engineering firm, I began to hone my consulting skills as a building physics technician. It was here that I developed a fascination with how buildings respond to their environments, and how their design - architectural, spatial & system - can be optimised to reduce environmental footprint.
As the years progressed, my experience grew to cover asset decarbonisation, net zero strategies, energy infrastructure, & resilience. I co-founded & chaired the Infrastructure Decarbonisation Forum, bringing together critical infrastructure clients to share best practices in decarbonising capital projects.
After 13 years in London, I moved to the Netherlands with my Dutch partner in 2021, where I set up & led the Energy and Climate Advisory practice for a major international engineering & consulting group.
I have worked on hundreds of projects across the UK, Netherlands, Europe, Middle East, Africa & Asia, for clients in sectors including:
